Kate, Geoff, and Barrett are some of the nicest, funniest people you’ll meet! Kate had Barrett about a month after I had my youngest son and have the same lion outfit! Clearly, Kate and I have both fantastic men in our lives and impeccable taste in kids’ clothes.
We met at Mt. Tabor on what was supposed to be a pretty sunny day. It was cloudy when we first got there and got in so many good shots!
This face! When was the last time you saw a kid with smiles this big?
Then, it began to rain and rain and rain. We hid under some trees and waited for the sun to come back out. I’m sure glad we did because the tees were just starting to blossom and were so pretty and the perfect backdrop for some pictures of Mr. Barrett.
We had a fun time at our session and they were true troopers for braving the rain with me. 🙂
Camden’s no newbie to my blog and I’ve done sessions for his family quite a few times over the last couple of years. He’s such a sweet boy and I was so excited to be able to take his eighteen-month photos in his family’s beautiful home.
One of the things I really like about in-home sessions is that it allows us to document not only your family, but your home as well! Plus, all of the things that are important to you are usually right at hand! Check out this cute kid and his favorite book and his animal friends!
See? Adorable. And not only do we have some of his favorite things, but his Mama (his favorite person!) is there to be with him too. So much love!
Camden’s other love is cars. The joy that comes out of this kid when he plays is just infectious!
It was a cloudy, rainy day outside, but inside we were able to get so many good pictures of Camden to capture his fun personality. 🙂
I’m so excited to finally show you pictures of the very first pair of twins I’ve ever photographed! I’m pleased to present to you Noelle (in the green blanket) and Grace (in the purple blanket)!
Aren’t they SO sweet?
If you remember, I’ve taken pictures of Kevin and Kelly’s family before, and most recently documented Kelly’s pregnancy of these two cuties during a family session.
I know it’s a cliche and everything, but you really do forget how small newborns are until you hold one and then they are teeny tiny!
Lifestyle newborn sessions are wonderful for a lot of reasons, but one of the things I like about them the most is the way I can incorporate other members of the family into the shoot. It’s not just about Noelle and Grace being born, but it’s also about how their family is growing and seeing their siblings relate to them.
Seriously, how precious is all of this?!
I told my husband that we’re lucky we have a six-month old at home already, otherwise I’d be having all kinds of baby fever right now, lol.
Welcome to the world, Noelle and Grace! You are already so, so loved. 🙂
Katherine contacted me because of the kind words of another one of my clients. She wanted to have family pictures taken and we settled on a beautiful park in Wilsonville, Memorial Park. I’ll admit that I haven’t spent much time in Wilsonville, but they have some amazing parks out there!
Enough about the details, let me tell you about this family! The Lutz’s have seriously adorable children and it was so sweet to see the way both Katherine and Ian doted on Kellan and Lana.
Both Kellan and Lana were a little shy of the camera at first, but I was able to get some good smiles out of them!
It was a pleasure to meet Katherine, Ian, and their kiddos and I can’t wait to see them again sometime soon. 🙂
Last fall, I took pictures of Michelle and her beautiful daughter, Riley. They were such a cute mother-daughter duo that I was thrilled when Michelle contacted me again this fall for pictures of the two of them! This year, we decided to mix it up a little bit and we went to one of my favorite places, Powell Butte.
The weather was a little chilly and there were a few storm clouds threatening us, but we managed to take all of the pictures without getting even a little wet. No small feat for Portland in the fall!
Riley cracks me up so much. She’s the same age as my son and she’s just as funny! As we were walking around, she kept pretending all of these imaginary characters were coming after us and the whole scene had both her mom and me in stitches. 😀
These two are so fun and so sweet together.
I’ve taken photos of the Creech family before, when their youngest was a newborn. It’s hard to believe Roslyn has grown up so much in a little over a year!
We met for pictures this last fall up on Powell Butte and it’s one of my favorite places to take family pictures. Not only are the views gorgeous, but there’s gravel and paved paths in spots… perfect for walking around with kids when it threatens to rain. 🙂
Xavier is full of energy and had so many good smiles for me. Roslyn is such a sweetie and I so much enjoy seeing how she’s growing up and how she’s starting to look a little like Xavier every once in a while. 🙂
The Creech’s are such a fun family and I always enjoy my shoots with them! I can’t wait to see how much growing those littles do in the coming year.
Elizabeth contacted me about taking her family’s pictures this last fall, and we decided to meet up at Scouter’s Mountain in Happy Valley. When I got there, I was met by the sweetest family! Elizabeth’s kids were so amazingly well-behaved and they were up for all kinds of fun and had their best smiles at the ready!
When someone schedules a family session, I don’t often meet them before the day of the session. We’ve chatted a bit via e-mail, but I’m usually meeting clients for the first time when I take their pictures! It’s fun to finally get to put faces to names and get to know one another. The Bowe family was so fun to finally meet! The kids were excited to get their pictures taken and were all smiles!
I’m glad I had my camera at the ready because they hugged each other “just because”! These kiddos were just so sweet.
We took these pictures up at Scouter’s Mountain in Happy Valley this fall, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! I had a great time meeting this fun family and capturing these images for them. 🙂
I took Laura’s maternity photos a couple of months ago, and now I get to be the one to introduce you to Baby Roland!
I love getting to watch new parents fawn over their baby; everything is so new and cute!
Laura and her husband, Aaron, named Roland after a football coach Aaron had in high school. This particular coach became more of a mentor to Aaron and has been a big presence in his life. What a wonderful way to honor someone who has been so important. 🙂
And, not only does he have a great name, but he has a cute smile to boot!
I love having clients come back to me year after year! It’s such a thrill to be able to see kids grow up; often, they’re still themselves, but there just a *little* bigger/smilier/funnier than they were the year before. I took pictures of these three brothers about a year ago, and it was so fun getting to interact with them and see how they’re growing up!
Aiden, Ethan, and Christian are full of boyish energy and kept me on my toes! 😀
But, I was rewarded with some pretty great smiles and some very funny faces!
I can’t wait to see how they grow and change in the coming year!
