Baby C | Portland, OR Newborn Photographer

This little man is the son of a sister of a friend. 🙂 Baby C is such a cutie (as you can clearly see). His family is so in love with him, including his big sister.

One of the fun things about family photos when you have a newborn is watching the older child(ren) interact with the new baby. As an oldest child, I’m a little jealous of youngest children — there’s so much love there for a new baby!

And, seriously, how cute is he?

Jancovicz Family | Portland, OR Family Photography

Jess and I have been in the same book club for a few years now, and I was SO happy when she asked me to take photos of her family. Zayla has the BEST personality and Pax is the smiliest toddler. 🙂

It was a HOT day when we took these photos and the sun was right above us, but that meant we got some great pictures in the shade.

These two just make me so happy. Zayla loves her brother and he gets a huge kick out of watching her and laughing.

A delightful, happy family. 🙂

Sheahan Family | Portland, OR Family Photograher

As I looked out my kitchen window a couple of weeks ago as I was getting ready for the Sheahan’s family session, I was a *little* nervous about the clouds and drizzle and wetness. Laura, the sweet mom in these photos, and I texted back and forth about the weather. On the one hand, no one likes taking photos in the pouring rain (most people aren’t looking for the “drowned mouse” look). On the other hand, it’s been the wettest Spring here in Oregon in 75 years, so the rain might never go away.

“We’re up for it if you are!” was Laura’s text to me, and I’m so glad we decided to go with it! Not only are their pictures super cute (her boys are adorable and full of fun!), but they have that classic “This is what life in the Pacific Northwest looks like” feel to them. 🙂

I think one of my favorite pictures of the whole session is this last one, above. Laura and her husband were posing for a cute photo and their boys just HAD to get in on the action and posed themselves right along side their parents! 😀 Adorable.

Miss Finley’s Two-year-old Session | Portland Children Photographer

Finley’s grandmother is the one who contacted me about doing her photos. When I heard Finley had just turned two, I couldn’t resist since my daughter is the same age!

A lot of people don’t like the two-year-old stage and refer to it as “The Terrible Twos”. But, I have to say, it’s one of my favorite ages. Their language development is coming along and they have thoughts and opinions they are just so excited to share with you!

And look at all of her cute faces! Adorable!

We had fun walking around the park, looking at the ducks, smelling flowers, and playing with bubbles. Finley is so sweet and I had so much fun capturing her at this age. 🙂

First Communion Photos | Portland Family Photography

I was especially lucky this Spring to have two families contact me about taking pictures of their daughters for their First Communions. I admit that First Communion weekend is one of my favorites — the kids are all dressed up and it’s such a big moment for them!

The first session I did was for Sophia and we were fortunate to have access to the church one afternoon to take her pictures.

The second session was for Ava. Ava’s mom really wanted me to take pictures so she didn’t have to. 🙂 It’s always crazy with extended family and friends and making sure everyone gets in the picture, so I know it made Ava’s mom’s life so much easier with me there.

Congratulations Sophia, Ava, and all the young ladies and gentlemen who received their First Communions this year!

Bell Family and Maddy Turns ONE! | Portland, OR Family and Child Photography

This little girl was my very first client and now she’s just turned ONE! Eeek!

Here’s Maddy when she was a newborn:

And here she is now:

I mean, how adorable is she?! Answer: Super Adorable.

IMG_9981IMG_9941

I mean, can you even remember the last time you were THAT happy? 😀

And because we can’t let her have ALL the spotlight, we took a few pictures of her mom and dad too.

And the whole family together.

This park is the same place where Emily and Taylor (Maddy’s parents) had their wedding photos taken. There’s a photo in their living room of the two of them and this tree, so we recreated the moment. 🙂

And, because I can’t resist some Mom/Baby, Dad/Baby pictures, here are a few more:

A beautiful, wonderful family and a truly adorable ONE-year-old!
