I’m so excited to finally show you pictures of the very first pair of twins I’ve ever photographed! I’m pleased to present to you Noelle (in the green blanket) and Grace (in the purple blanket)!
Aren’t they SO sweet?
If you remember, I’ve taken pictures of Kevin and Kelly’s family before, and most recently documented Kelly’s pregnancy of these two cuties during a family session.
I know it’s a cliche and everything, but you really do forget how small newborns are until you hold one and then they are teeny tiny!
Lifestyle newborn sessions are wonderful for a lot of reasons, but one of the things I like about them the most is the way I can incorporate other members of the family into the shoot. It’s not just about Noelle and Grace being born, but it’s also about how their family is growing and seeing their siblings relate to them.
Seriously, how precious is all of this?!
I told my husband that we’re lucky we have a six-month old at home already, otherwise I’d be having all kinds of baby fever right now, lol.
Welcome to the world, Noelle and Grace! You are already so, so loved. 🙂
I took Laura’s maternity photos a couple of months ago, and now I get to be the one to introduce you to Baby Roland!
I love getting to watch new parents fawn over their baby; everything is so new and cute!
Laura and her husband, Aaron, named Roland after a football coach Aaron had in high school. This particular coach became more of a mentor to Aaron and has been a big presence in his life. What a wonderful way to honor someone who has been so important. 🙂
And, not only does he have a great name, but he has a cute smile to boot!
I’m back to picture-taking and blogging after having my third baby. Hooray! And, what better way to come back than by taking pictures of this family and their beautiful newborn?
I’ve known Baby Nathan’s parents for years and their oldest son, Ben, is a little younger than my oldest son. Erika and I met through the program I did in graduate school, before she met her husband, Tony. I was privileged to be at their wedding and I’ve loved seeing their family grow over the years. It’s been a delight to see the beautiful mom Erika has become!
See? Seriously. So beautiful
Ben was such a fun older brother to photograph! He had the perfect amount of energy and gave me lots of great smiles.
As always, it was wonderful to capture these sweet moments of this family of four!
Welcome to the world, Baby Nathan! 😀
One of my most favorite things in life is getting to watch my friends become parents, whether that be for the first or sixth time. 🙂 Beth and I taught together for several years and I’ve so enjoyed getting to know her and her husband Andrew outside of school. This summer, they welcomed their first child into their family and little Daniel is incredibly precious.
People always ask new parents: “Do you think he/she looks like you? Or, do they look more like your spouse?” I have to say, Daniel looks like the perfect mix of both Beth and Andrew!
I’ve never known anyone to successfully get their baby’s hand prints at the hospital, but Beth and Andrew were able to do it! Then, we took this special photo of Baby Daniel next to his hand and foot prints in his baby book.
Do you see that mural on the wall behind them? Beth and her mom painted the whole thing! I am so impressed.
Congratulations to a wonderful couple and welcome to a truly special family, Daniel! 🙂
Tecie and Ed recently welcomed their newest little love into their family. Cecelia is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell she is loved by every single member of the family. 🙂
And such beautiful eyes! And that little smile!
Seriously, Theo and Josie were loving on their sister the whole time I was there!
I love LOVE taking pictures of parents with their babies — especially when it’s not the “first” baby. Love really does just grow in a family!
Tecie’s requested a few pictures of her with her older kids too, and I’m so glad she did! What a wonderful way to document this time for Theo and Josie.
Welcome to the world, Baby Cecelia! 🙂
You might remember I posted pictures from little Aria’s baby shower a few weeks ago. I’m happy to announce that she’s finally here! 🙂 Aria has a sweet smile, beautiful eyes, and a full head of dark, dark hair.
One thing I really love about newborn photos is taking pictures with new parents. Often, they’re still learning all of their little one’s new habits, but they also have gained so much insight in such a short amount of time about the little person that’s suddenly taken over their lives. 🙂
Janelle, Aria’s mom, looks so beautiful in her new role as mother. And Jeremiah, Aria’s dad, coos and sings to her all the time — you know she already has so much of his heart. 🙂
Aria is incredibly precious and I loved every minute I was able to spend with her. 🙂
Benjamin’s mom and I go way, way back. 🙂 Wendy and I were in grad school together and I’ve loved getting to watch her family grow over the past few years. She and her husband, Matthew, just had their second baby, little Benjamin. Their oldest, Lydia, is a little over three years old and in complete love with her little brother.
Seriously, look at that face! The whole time during the session, she kept saying, “I hold the baby… I kiss the baby.” Completely and totally adorable.
Also, Benjamin has so much hair! Maybe it’s just that both of my kids were born with only a smattering of hair, but I love seeing babies come out with whole heads of hair. 🙂 I think it gives them so much personality right from the start.
Congratulations to this new family of four!
I can’t even believe the tiny little squidge you see here is almost two months old now! I took these photos in November when he was just home from the hospital.
Also, Tristan’s older brother was the most wonderfully behaved big brother ever! He did such a good job of gently holding the new baby and was so happy to sit and coo and smile at him. They make the most adorable pair!
I love capturing these sweet moments between a baby and its parents, but I think I like it most when it’s the second or third baby. The first baby gets ALL the pictures (trust me, I’m the oldest, I know), so I make sure to get pictures of the baby and their parents together. In the name of fairness. 🙂
This last photo is one Tristan’s mom took with his older brother. What a cute idea!
