Tecie and Ed recently welcomed their newest little love into their family. Cecelia is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell she is loved by every single member of the family. 🙂
And such beautiful eyes! And that little smile!
Seriously, Theo and Josie were loving on their sister the whole time I was there!
I love LOVE taking pictures of parents with their babies — especially when it’s not the “first” baby. Love really does just grow in a family!
Tecie’s requested a few pictures of her with her older kids too, and I’m so glad she did! What a wonderful way to document this time for Theo and Josie.
Welcome to the world, Baby Cecelia! 🙂
When a client comes to you with one of the cutest ideas you’ve ever heard, you say yes! 🙂 Kelly and Kevin were married ten years ago at the University of Portland. But, not only were they married at UP, they also met there, had their first kiss there, and got engaged there! To celebrate their anniversary, Kelly wanted to take some pictures at UP in all of their important places.
So, we took a picture where they had their first kiss…
… and where they were engaged…
… and we recreated a few of their favorite wedding photos (Kelly even got another bouquet to look like her wedding bouquet and she wore her wedding shoes!).
There were a few photos with their adorable kiddos too, of course!
Then, finally, we ended with some pictures of a special blessing. The priest that married them (though, he was just a deacon at the time) stood in front of the doors of the beautiful chapel where Kelly and Kevin were married and blessed them both.
Many blessings to the two of you, Kelly and Kevin! 🙂
I’ve known these two kiddos for their whole lives. 🙂 I did the newborn photos for Camden a year ago (how has it been that long?!) AND his six-month photos, and watching the two of them grow into the fun siblings they are today has been so fun.
Recently, Ensley turned four years old and it’s hard to believe that she’s such a little lady now! She has such a sweet smile and knows how to work the camera!
Camden turned one in July and he’s so cute! He is such a little goof and he has such big eyes! I love that his mom picked out this Uno shirt for him — so festive and fun at the same time.
And then there are moments like this that totally warm my heart. 🙂
You might remember I posted pictures from little Aria’s baby shower a few weeks ago. I’m happy to announce that she’s finally here! 🙂 Aria has a sweet smile, beautiful eyes, and a full head of dark, dark hair.
One thing I really love about newborn photos is taking pictures with new parents. Often, they’re still learning all of their little one’s new habits, but they also have gained so much insight in such a short amount of time about the little person that’s suddenly taken over their lives. 🙂
Janelle, Aria’s mom, looks so beautiful in her new role as mother. And Jeremiah, Aria’s dad, coos and sings to her all the time — you know she already has so much of his heart. 🙂
Aria is incredibly precious and I loved every minute I was able to spend with her. 🙂
Benjamin’s mom and I go way, way back. 🙂 Wendy and I were in grad school together and I’ve loved getting to watch her family grow over the past few years. She and her husband, Matthew, just had their second baby, little Benjamin. Their oldest, Lydia, is a little over three years old and in complete love with her little brother.
Seriously, look at that face! The whole time during the session, she kept saying, “I hold the baby… I kiss the baby.” Completely and totally adorable.
Also, Benjamin has so much hair! Maybe it’s just that both of my kids were born with only a smattering of hair, but I love seeing babies come out with whole heads of hair. 🙂 I think it gives them so much personality right from the start.
Congratulations to this new family of four!
Jess and I have been in the same book club for a few years now, and I was SO happy when she asked me to take photos of her family. Zayla has the BEST personality and Pax is the smiliest toddler. 🙂
It was a HOT day when we took these photos and the sun was right above us, but that meant we got some great pictures in the shade.
These two just make me so happy. Zayla loves her brother and he gets a huge kick out of watching her and laughing.
A delightful, happy family. 🙂
As I looked out my kitchen window a couple of weeks ago as I was getting ready for the Sheahan’s family session, I was a *little* nervous about the clouds and drizzle and wetness. Laura, the sweet mom in these photos, and I texted back and forth about the weather. On the one hand, no one likes taking photos in the pouring rain (most people aren’t looking for the “drowned mouse” look). On the other hand, it’s been the wettest Spring here in Oregon in 75 years, so the rain might never go away.
“We’re up for it if you are!” was Laura’s text to me, and I’m so glad we decided to go with it! Not only are their pictures super cute (her boys are adorable and full of fun!), but they have that classic “This is what life in the Pacific Northwest looks like” feel to them. 🙂
I think one of my favorite pictures of the whole session is this last one, above. Laura and her husband were posing for a cute photo and their boys just HAD to get in on the action and posed themselves right along side their parents! 😀 Adorable.
Finley’s grandmother is the one who contacted me about doing her photos. When I heard Finley had just turned two, I couldn’t resist since my daughter is the same age!
A lot of people don’t like the two-year-old stage and refer to it as “The Terrible Twos”. But, I have to say, it’s one of my favorite ages. Their language development is coming along and they have thoughts and opinions they are just so excited to share with you!
And look at all of her cute faces! Adorable!
We had fun walking around the park, looking at the ducks, smelling flowers, and playing with bubbles. Finley is so sweet and I had so much fun capturing her at this age. 🙂
